Eden Taff was born in 2000 in Washington, DC. She graduated from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study in 2023 with a major in Strategic Art and Design and a minor in Studio Art.

Eden specializes in figurative oil painting and multimedia drawing. She started selling her artwork at age 12 and began exhibiting at age 15. Her work has since been exhibited in New York City, Miami, and the Washington, DC area, as well as at auction at Heaven Gallery in Chicago. Her most recent exhibitions include Cult of Domesticity at LUmkA and NADA Miami, represented by Lubov.

Eden’s artwork explores the pursuit of “pure emotion,” or the desire to experience powerful feelings such as love, fear, and grief, and somehow manifest these internal sensations and drives in a visual manner. Eden often depicts human and animal bodies in nostalgic or surreal settings to demonstrate both the profound humanity and daunting alienation that extreme emotion evokes within the body. The airy, ephemeral, and ungrounded quality of her technique mirrors the near-impossibility of capturing the mind’s fleeting images born from emotion and a wish to store each of them within a single image.

Eden currently works as an independent graphic designer, as Design and Communications Manager for Marriott International’s Global Design division, and as Head of Design at No Agency New York. She helped launch and design No Agency’s monthly newsletter (in print 2022-2023), their quarterly No Erotica magazine (current), and the No Agency Annual book, published by Ditto Nation and available at Printed Matter. She most recently led the design for photographer Richard Kern’s newest book, New York Girls Now. Eden otherwise designs and manages all graphics for No Agency. No Agency’s design publications have received praise from DAZED, NYLON, Art Net, and Spike Art Magazine. Their third No Erotica was specially designed for Kaleidoscope.
